As reported by the Standard & Poor’s Index, funding in global fintech fell 49% year over year. The fintech space has already raised over $23 Billion in the first half of 2023. 1178 investments have been made till now, a 64% drop from the same period in 2022.
522 deals were closed in the second quarter of 2023, which was down from 656 in the first quarter and from 944 deals closed at the same time in 2022.

Number 11 comes to Israel. The total number of financing deals in the fintech space in Israel was 23 through June 2023, representing 1% of the global financing deals till June 2023. The combined value of all the deals stood at $283,000,000, making up 1% of the global volume of Dollars.
- Netherlands
The Netherlands is at number 10. The total number of financing deals in the fintech space in the Netherlands was 26 through June 2023, representing 2% of the global financing deals through H1 of 2023. The accumulated value of these deals is $156,000,000, accounting for 1% of the global volume of Dollars.
- Brazil
Brazil comes in at number 9 on this list. The total number of financing deals closed in the fintech space in Brazil was 33, representing 2% of the global financing deals through June 2023. The total value of these deals is $203,000,000, making up 1% of the total global volume in Dollars.
- Switzerland
The total number of financing deals closed till June 2023 was 34, accounting for 2% of the total global financings through June 2023 with a combined value of $225,000,000, making up 1% of the total global volume in Dollars.
- Canada
A total of 38 financing deals were closed in Canada in H1 of 2023, accounting for 2% of the total global financing deals. The accumulated value of these deals was $737,000,000, making up 3% of the total global volume in Dollars.
- France
47 financing deals took place in France through June 2023, accounting for 3% of the total global financing deals. The combined value of these deals was $544,000,000, making up 2% of the total global volume in Dollars.
- Germany
The number of total FInancing deals through June 2023 in Germany was 54, accounting for 3% of the total global financing deals. The accumulated value of these deals stands at $601,000,000, making up 2% of the total global supply of Dollars.
- Singapore
A total of 67 financing deals took place in Singapore through June 2023, making up 4% of the total global financing deals. With a combined value of $1.106 Billion, this accounts for 4% of the total global supply of Dollars.
- India
The total financing deals closed in India through June were 90, accounting for 6% of the total global financing deals. With a combined value of $1.62 Billion, this makes up 6% of the total global supply of Dollars.
- United Kingdom
A total of 145 deals took place through June 2023 in the UK, accounting for 9% of the total global financing deals. With an accumulated value of $2.679 Billion, this makes up 9% of the total global volume of Dollars.
